The Conference was convened by the International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO), the premier international scholarly society devoted to the theory and practice of knowledge organization. Transition from Observation to Knowledge to Intelligence (TOKI) Conference was a forum that allowed researchers from the fields of Competitive Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Big Data and Territorial Intelligence to present their novel research findings and results.

In his goodwill message, the President/Chairman of Council who was represented at the occasion by the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Idowu Olusile opined that Nigeria, at this critical time of her national life should turn its attention fully to IT, an industry that has the potential to put her on the super highway of technological development, not only for revenue generating purposes, but also for relevance in global reckoning.

Professor Asor said he was confident that both industry and the government would benefit tremendously from the relevance of research findings, results obtained, systems developed and techniques adopted in these areas of human endeavour. He also expressed the confidence that the meeting would serve its purpose as a veritable forum for raising awareness, initiating discussions, identifying ways to address digital divide and informing the policy making processes.
