The Executives of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Computer Society, led by its Chairman, Mr. Charles Onyeukwu paid a courtesy call on the Registrar/Chief Executive, Mr. Allwell Achumba on Tuesday 28th February, 2017 at the CPN Head office.

According to Mr. Onyeukwu, the courtesy visit was to formally welcome the new Registrar/Secretary to Council and to express and demonstrate the willingness of the Chapter to collaborate with CPN under the leadership of Mr. Achuma especially on compliance and getting the many unregistered practitioners to become registered.

In his response, Mr. Achumba Allwell thanked the executives of the Lagos Chapter of the NCS for the honour done to him by the visit.

The Registrar said given his experience as a two – term Member of Council, one who has practiced extensively both in the public and private sectors, he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in working at accomplishing programmes and policies that will positively affect the fortunes of the profession, the industry and its members. He went on to enumerate some of the steps that he has taken since assuming office in November 2017 which included courtesy visit to some sister Agencies whose operations bear relevance to the activities of the Council.

In closing, he thanked Mr. Charles and his team for the visit, promising them them of his support at all times.

The Chairman of the Chapter was accompanied on the visit by the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Tokunbo Smith, the Secretary, Mr. Gani Adegboyega, Mr. Tunde Ogunremi, the Financial Secretary, Mr. Adesina Adewale, the NACOSS Coordinator, Mr. Emmanuel Fanbegbe, the Membership Officer, and Engr. Ogochukwu Frank, the Coordinator of the Chapter’s Learning Resort.

Also at the meeting were the Directors of the different Departments of CPN.
