At the 23rd Annual General Meeting of members held on Thursday 29th June, 2017 in Abuja, Professor Charles Onuwa Uwadia (FNCS) was elected as the new President/Chairman-in-Council, while Mr. Kole Jagun (FNCS) was elected as the Vice-President/Vice-Chairman-in-Council to pilot the affairs of the Council for the next two years. 

Professor Uwadia of the Department of Computer Sciences, University of Lagos who was once the President of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has been an active player in the Information Technology profession arena where he has left indelible marks on the sand of time. The distinguished Professor is a well travelled scholar.

Professor Charles Uwadia succeeds Professor Vincent Asor as the 9th President/Chairman-in-Council of the profession.

Kole Jagun is the Managing Director of Peers Consulting Limited, an Information Technology Company based in Lagos with an office in Abuja. He has over 28 years Information Technology Experience and has successfully managed system implementation projects for clients both in the public and private sector. Kole Jagun is also the Managing Director of Greymouth Consulting Limited and Director at Securisk Insurance Brokers Ltd.  He is a Fellow of Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS) and Chairman, Credentials Committee, Nigeria Computer Society.
