Adebayo Adegbiji Assumes Office As CPN’s Registrar/Secretary to Council

The Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) [CPN] wishes to notify the general public, stakeholders in the Information Technology ecosystem, government Agencies, partners, and all registered members that Mr. Adebayo Adegbiji, FNCS, has officially resumed duty as the Registrar/Secretary to Council.

Mr. Adegbiji assumes this role with a wealth of experience, professional development, administration, and industry leadership. His resumption marks a renewed commitment to strengthening the Council’s mandate as enshrined in the CPN Act Cap C22 LFN 2004 — to regulate, supervise, and advance the computing profession in Nigeria.

Under his leadership, CPN is set to deepen its focus on:

• Enhancing professional standards and ethical compliance across the IT sector;
• ⁠Expanding capacity-building programmes for practitioners and institutions;
• ⁠Strengthening regulatory oversight in alignment with national digital transformation goals;
• ⁠Fostering stronger stakeholder engagement locally and internationally; and
• ⁠Supporting government initiatives toward a secure, innovative, and globally competitive digital economy.

The Council expresses confidence that Mr. Adegbiji’s expertise, vision, and leadership will contribute significantly to the growth and development of the computing profession in Nigeria.

Mr. Adegbiji succeeded Mr. Muhammad Bello Aliyu who has served out his tenure.
